Born in Rosario, Argentina, Andrea Baetti graduated from the University of Rosario with a degree in Architecture. After moving to to the United States and working as an architect, studying French and Photography, she started to pursue her studies in the visual arts.
She is a member of the Atlanta Artists Center and the Atlanta Collage Society.
Andrea worked as a core artist with Louis Delsarte on the completion of the 25 panels for the Martin Luther King Jr. Mural “Dreams, Visions and Change”. The display was inaugurated in January 2010 at the MLK Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
She also volunteers for the Foundation for Hospital Art painting panels for murals to decorate hospitals around the world.
Each of Andrea’s works are original and unique, inspired by her passion for architecture, nature, and traveling, and her love for family and friends.
Influenced by my training as an architect and working from a still life environment, I see the encounter of edges and lines in space.
Abstracting these structures creates a dialogue among the shapes and with the viewer.
The composition of my acrylic paintings evolves from this dialogue.
